Ceramic Coatings
Seal in the results from a paint correction with a ceramic coating. I offer IGL Coatings Ecocoat Poly, Ecocoat Quartz, Ecocoat Elixir.
What is a ceramic coating?
Ceramic coating is a chemical polymer applied to a vehicleβs exterior, creating a durable layer that guards chemical damage. It enhances gloss levels and adds a hydrophobic layer, making it harder for dirt and contamination to attach to the coated areas. This keeps your vehicle cleaner for longer and makes maintenances washes easier. For coating bookings we opt to use our secured unit space in Dodford, however we can carry our bookings mobile, depending on the vehicles condition and your location.
What is paint correction?
Paint correction is an auto detailing procedure that removes hazing, minor scratches, marring, swirl marks, and other blemishes on the vehicleβs clear coat. It does this by using specialised machines and polishing compounds to slowly remove microscopic layers of clear coat until the surface is smooth again. Once the paint correction is complete, your car will no longer have swirl marks, scratches, or other imperfections that are visible to the naked eye.
A typical paint correction process involves using a range of electric and mechanical polishers in different sizes, along with foam, microfibre, and wool pads of varying hardness and dimensions. These are paired with a selection of liquid compounds and polishes to carefully cut into the vehicleβs clear coat until the vehicles imperfections are removed. Because every manufacturerβs paintwork is unique, there is no single combination that works for all vehicles, to ensure the best possible results for the package youβve booked, several test patches are first carried out on your vehicle to determine the most effective approach.
Unit Based Detailing
Our preferred location is our secured unit in Dodford for polishing and ceramic coating booking, this allows clean space for the work and curing time of the ceramic coatings to be carried out in all weathers.
In addition the site offers indoor and outdoor vehicle storage at reasonable monthly rates.
